Healthy Ramadhan 2014: Keep Calm, Keep Cool & Stay Energised.
The buzz is in the air, the preparations have been made, it's very nearly almost here! Ramadhan, a month
where Muslims are prohibited from eating and drinking from the early hours of
the morning till sunset, to refresh our bodies and souls, but also to exercise
our self-control and our faith to God. With the long summer days that Ramadhan
now falls upon (here in the UK), there is a need for extra steps and special care to be taken in
order to take care of ourselves and help us get through the day. In this blog
post, I hope to provide special advice and guidance to help us keep our
energy levels at its optimum.Monday, 16 June 2014
Workplace Snacking

Hello!
Hope you are all well. I have always realised that healthy snacking in any
situation can be a problem, whether you are at home, with friends, family or even on
holiday. In every environment there are choices to be made that have an impact
on your health and well-being. However, having recently started a part-time
office-based job I have come to realise how easy it is to fall into this unhealthy trap. But don’t worry I am here, to help you and give you to tips on
how you can turn this around and learn to fight against the nibbles and treats
that just keep creeping back.

Review: Le Pain Quotidien
It is hard to find a nice place to eat and have good choice
of fresh healthy food. So when I stumbled upon Le Pain Quitidien, with the help
of my sister, the ‘cafĂ© directory’, I knew I had to write about it and share it
with you all. Sometimes side streets are the best places, away from the hustle
bustle of the main road and the crowds.

RECIPE: Vegetable Crisps

Hiya! I feel like it's been a while. Hope you are all doing well and enjoyed the half-term holidays, I had a family wedding which was fun! But slightly unhealthy, so I am trying to get back into the healthy mode and work off all those extra calories I consumed. A little while ago I had some extra vegetables and decided to try the new craze of vegetable crisps. Don't knock it till you've tried it, find out how I made them.

RECIPE: Spicy Butternut Squash Soup

Being a nutritionist has opened me up to a lot of new foods. I've tried, tested, adapted and liked many new food and drinks. One of them is butternut squash.
A lot of people have asked me how I make this soup, so I decided to share it with you all. I love making it, it's so easy and taste so good. It will fill you right up even without a wholemeal roll. A great winter vegetable, perfect for those cold nights, it will leave you nice and warm inside.
