Hello everyone! :-) How are you all? Hope you are well and healthy. Yes it has been a while and I have missed you all. Truly I have missed my nutrition world. The reason why I have been absent is because I have been busy with my other job at a lovely children's centre doing outreach work, which I am still currently doing. But today I worked as A H Nutritionist and did a healthy breakfast workshop to celebrate Shake Up Your Wake Up! and I loved it.

Happy Ramadhan 2015 - My Top 10 Energy Foods.
Happy Ramadhan everyone!! I hope you are all well and feeling healthy. Alhamdullillah we have reached that lovely spiritual time of the
year, the month of fasting, the month of cleansing our souls and body. Although
many people will be talking about how they will struggle to get through the day
and the hardship this month brings, please don’t forget to look at the
blessings and the benefits too. This is first and foremost a reminder for
myself as well as for you all.Monday, 23 March 2015
Balancing out on holiday - Dubai 2015
I was truly blessed and fortunate enough to go on holiday recently to sunny Dubai with my mum. We had a nice break (away from cold London) filled with shopping, food and fun!

| My Haul! |
I went to my first ever Food Matters Live event. It's all about food, healthy and nutrition, run over 3 days with lots and lots of talks debating and discussing various hot topics we often hear about today. When I first read about it, I knew I had to be there! Here's a little overview of my day and what I got up to, the talks, what I learnt, the freebies and the event as a whole.

WORKSHOP: Healthy Food Art
In my mission to promote healthy eating to the younger generation and help children build healthy habits from a young age, I got a great opportunity to deliver a healthy workshop and I decided to do it on healthy food art. It was a great success and so much fun. Tuesday, 9 September 2014
Healthy Haul: Tiger
Hiya! How are you all? The weather is lovely so I hope you are feeling lovely too. I went for quick shopping trip and got excited about a few products I purchased from a cute new shop that I just had to share with you all.
My sister told me about this new shop called Tiger, she told me I would love it. And I really did, I had to control myself from going over board. Its a quirky retro kind of shop with just about everything. It reminded me of a little Ikea. From household gear to art and crafts you will most probably find it here.
Anyway this is what I bought; a fruity art tray, apron and some oven baked rye sticks. How cute and colourful do they look, I just couldn't walk away from them and leave them behind! ;-) I did pick up a big bag of pretzels which I was tempted to buy, but as it was the salted flavour I put it back. I don't need no extra salt. #selfcontrol #highbloodpressure. Like I said I could have got so much more, but every girl has to control herself and stick to a budget, especially as I know now that I will be making multiple trips to this place... Oh no! My mum won't be happy ;-)
She also won't be happy about the fact that I forgot to buy some dark chocolate...sorry. :-(
And just FYI if you wanted to know what I had for lunch and coffee... I went to try out Grind Coffee. I had the roasted veg and mozzarella cheese toasted sandwich with a flat white. It was ok, kind of bland, a nice portion for a light lunch.
Let me know if you've been to Tiger. What did you buy?

REVIEW: Creperie Du Monde
A review of one of my fave places to eat and drink. My go to place when I want to escape and want some good food to make me feel better. With the nice rustic décor and very friendly staff it's always a lovely place to go.

Normal Girl Nutritionist
Hi!! How are you all? I thought I would write a post letting you know a little bit more about me and my thoughts and my life as a nutritionist. Yes, my name is Ayshabibi, I am a nutritionist and I love it! I just stumbled upon this course when looking through UCAS a few months before starting university; I was looking through the course list deciding which one to do and I saw human nutrition, I was intrigued and didn't even know such a course existed and once I read the course description I knew I wanted to do it. And I have never regretted it one bit... (except when having to do stats at university).

Healthy Ramadan 2014: A meal in a glass
For Muslims in Ramadan, it can be very difficult to eat two healthy full meals with very little time in between the two. And its even more difficult to ensure that we are getting all the essential nutrients from both of these meals too. Here I have explained how you can go easy on one of the meal times without missing it on the nutrients and ensuring you are getting a well-balanced meal too. Monday, 9 June 2014
Anatolian Cultural Fete 2014
The Anatolian Cultural Fete is a
festival that has been running for 7 years now in Clissold Park. I hadn’t been
to the previous ones and have been wanting to go, so was happy to be free to go
this year. I went with my cousin even though the weather was not on our side,
obviously I went for the food but there was lot more going on. Read here to
find out more about the fete that just seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

This new halal restaurant it's one I have
been meaning to try as it serves halal breakfasts, including a full English. I
went with my cousin for brunch, we both hadn’t been yet so it was a good chance
to go and give it try. I was a little excited to try this new place out, well
new to me anyway. Was I happy with my experience….ummmm well….read more to find
out why I'm not rushing to go back.

Review: Le Pain Quotidien
It is hard to find a nice place to eat and have good choice
of fresh healthy food. So when I stumbled upon Le Pain Quitidien, with the help
of my sister, the ‘café directory’, I knew I had to write about it and share it
with you all. Sometimes side streets are the best places, away from the hustle
bustle of the main road and the crowds.

Food Review: Snack Bars
Snack bars, cereal bars, breakfast bars, energy bars, what ever you like to call them, they are taking over our supermarket shelves. We
are always short on time, and looking for new ways to eat on the go when we don’t
have time to sit down and have a meal or snack or just need a quick energy fix when
we are going about our day. We all know those days. One of the quickest
way to have chosen to have our energy fix is by having a cereal bar, it has become a convenience food. However, not all of them
are as good as they seem. In this blog I am going to review just some the bars I
found on the supermarket shelves.Friday, 2 May 2014
Live Below The Line Challenge 2014
Live Below the Line is an amazing annual
challenge where many people live on £1 a day to raise awareness on poverty. Gandhi said – “Poverty is the worst form of violence.” Although, this week wasn’t
ideal for me to undertake the challenge due to prior engagements, I did it for
one day. And let me tell you it wasn’t easy.Sunday, 27 April 2014
RECIPE: Vegetable Crisps

Hiya! I feel like it's been a while. Hope you are all doing well and enjoyed the half-term holidays, I had a family wedding which was fun! But slightly unhealthy, so I am trying to get back into the healthy mode and work off all those extra calories I consumed. A little while ago I had some extra vegetables and decided to try the new craze of vegetable crisps. Don't knock it till you've tried it, find out how I made them.

Health Awareness Event: Talks, Demos and Food!
I was invited to host and deliver a talk at a Health Awareness Event organised by NFA Foundation, founded by a lovely sister I met only a few months ago, Nazia Ali. The event was held on Friday 28th March 2014 from 3-6pm. It was a short yet fun-filled event, gaining invaluable healthy tips from all the health professionals that attended.

Barcelona Blog - Day 4 (and overall review)
It was our last (half) day in
Barcelona -
We didn’t plan anything for today apart from pack, have breakfast, get ready and
leave for the airport. We did however, pop into the local market, my mum couldn’t
resist. Saturday, 22 March 2014
