Hello everyone! :-) How are you all? Hope you are well and healthy. Yes it has been a while and I have missed you all. Truly I have missed my nutrition world. The reason why I have been absent is because I have been busy with my other job at a lovely children's centre doing outreach work, which I am still currently doing. But today I worked as A H Nutritionist and did a healthy breakfast workshop to celebrate Shake Up Your Wake Up! and I loved it.

Happy Ramadhan everyone!! I hope you are all well and feeling healthy. Alhamdullillah we have reached that lovely spiritual time of the

many people will be talking about how they will struggle to get through the day
and the hardship this month brings, please don’t forget to look at the
blessings and the benefits too. This is first and foremost a reminder for
myself as well as for you all.Monday, 23 March 2015

WORKSHOP: Healthy Food Art
In my mission to promote healthy eating to the younger generation and help children build healthy habits from a young age, I got a great opportunity to deliver a healthy workshop and I decided to do it on healthy food art. It was a great success and so much fun. Tuesday, 26 August 2014
REVIEW: Creperie Du Monde
A review of one of my fave places to eat and drink. My go to place when I want to escape and want some good food to make me feel better. With the nice rustic décor and very friendly staff it's always a lovely place to go.

Healthy Ramadan 2014: A meal in a glass
For Muslims in Ramadan, it can be very difficult to eat two healthy full meals with very little time in between the two. And its even more difficult to ensure that we are getting all the essential nutrients from both of these meals too. Here I have explained how you can go easy on one of the meal times without missing it on the nutrients and ensuring you are getting a well-balanced meal too. Thursday, 26 June 2014
Healthy Ramadhan 2014: Keep Calm, Keep Cool & Stay Energised.
The buzz is in the air, the preparations have been made, it's very nearly almost here! Ramadhan, a month
where Muslims are prohibited from eating and drinking from the early hours of
the morning till sunset, to refresh our bodies and souls, but also to exercise
our self-control and our faith to God. With the long summer days that Ramadhan
now falls upon (here in the UK), there is a need for extra steps and special care to be taken in
order to take care of ourselves and help us get through the day. In this blog
post, I hope to provide special advice and guidance to help us keep our
energy levels at its optimum.Monday, 2 June 2014

This new halal restaurant it's one I have
been meaning to try as it serves halal breakfasts, including a full English. I
went with my cousin for brunch, we both hadn’t been yet so it was a good chance
to go and give it try. I was a little excited to try this new place out, well

out why I'm not rushing to go back.

RECIPE: Eggless Pancakes
I didn't have time to make pancakes for breakfast this morning so I decided to have some for dinner instead. But I'd used up all the eggs for another dish.... Oops! Well, I didn't let that stop me making pancakes on pancake day! So I started searching for egg alternatives and egg-less pancake recipes. Here's what I came up with.

Breakfast Week 2014: Healthy Start to a Healthy Day!
Breakfast week is one of the most
exciting weeks for me as a nutritionist. I’ve had fun sharing my breakfast’s
photos with you this week on my Facebook page (check them out if you haven't seen them already); I hope they’ve inspired you. I’ve
always enjoyed this meal, so much so that sometimes in the night I think about what I will have in the morning, especially if I am craving pancakes! Friday, 20 December 2013
The 3 Cores of Healthy Eating

There are so many tips and advice on what to have and what not to have, that we often get confused by the many misunderstood messages flying around making us question every single thing we eat and drink. If you want to be healthy AND happy at the same time (which can be done), follow my 3 core guidelines below.

RECIPE: Oaty Protein Pancakes
You probably all know by now how much I love pancakes, I am always experimenting and trying to make it more yummy and healthy. I love having pancakes for breakfast especially in the weekend, I do prefer my sweet fruit topped pancakes but I am growing fonder of the savoury ones too. My spinach and feta pancakes are divine! If I do say so myself...check out my savoury pancake recipes.

Homemade Protein Shake
Since, my brother has become more
active; going to the gym regularly and been going to play football (a lot!!),
he has been asking me to make him a protein shake for a while. I have made some
before and have been experimenting but I think I have finally mastered it.
With people being more health
conscious, going to the gym and being doing more exercise, the interest in
protein shakes has grown so much over the last couple of years. But what does
it actually do?

Healthy Ramadhan 2013
The blessed month
of fasting is upon the Muslims again and the summer days are just starting as we
get into this blessed month. Ramadhan is a month where Muslims fast (do not eat
or drink) from dusk til dawn. It is a month where Muslims learn to exercise
their self-control, refresh and reflect on their life; spiritually and
physically.
With the days getting longer and
the nights getting shorter it can be difficult to maintain our health and
strength. This is why it is even more important to make sure we eat and drink
healthily making sure we keep our body’s energy and fuel topped up with the
right foods and drinks.

RECIPE: Savoury Pancakes - Pancake Day 2013
This year I decided to make
savoury pancakes instead of the usual sweet pancakes. The great thing about
savoury pancakes is that it can be eaten as a meal for lunch or dinner, not
just for breakfast. I was so overwhelmed with the different recipes out there
for savoury pancakes, I was spoilt for choice, they all sounded too scrumptious
that I found it very hard to decide which to include in this blog. Keep in mind
that you can vary the recipe according to your own taste and feel free to
experiment with different ingredients and spices. Here are the ones I made for
me and family:

Winter Warmers
Winter is here and we are definitely feeling the chill early
this season, with the rain, wind and drop in temperature. Even though warm
clothes and layers will help us to keep the cold out we need to make sure we
are warm inside as well to keep us well and healthy through this blustery
season. In this blog I am going to give you some ideas to help you keep warm on
the inside by having the right foods.Wednesday, 14 March 2012
RECIPE: Healthy pancakes - Pancake Day 2012
Happy Pancake Day! I love having
pancakes in the morning; they are so scrummy and filling. And if you have it
the right way, it’s a great way to help you have your 5-a-day. It’s easy to get
carried away with Pancake Day by having too many calories; buying ready-made
pancakes or making them from the batter mix packets. But it’s not that hard to
have a healthy Pancake Day. I have had a fun morning making yummy wholemeal
pancakes and taking pictures to show you all.
