Whenever I come back from a walk,
I always wished I made more time and did it more often; especially when it the
sun is out and weather is nice and warm. I love walking and I want get people
walking as well. It’s the most simple and easiest form of exercise and a
brilliant way to keep fit and healthy. You don’t need to fancy expensive
gadget, just take a bottle of water some good walking shoes or trainers and
simple step out and keep going.
Being a nutritionist has made me
more aware and informed about what is in my food, not only inside my home but
outside my home as well. One of my missions is to make healthy alternatives to
take away and processed food. My love for fresh food is always growing because
I am always finding out about new foods that I may not have heard of, like
recently I have been hearing a lot about kale, which I hadn’t heard of until
recently (It’s a dark green leafy vegetable, a type of cabbage with many health
properties). I still need to try it out!
Ramadan is a month where Muslims
fast from dawn till dusk. It is a time to cleanse your spiritual and physical
health. With the long summer days, the hours of fasting are very long. It is
very important to eat the right foods, to have and retain all the essential
nutrients which keep our body working. If we don’t look after our self and
don’t eat according to our body’s needs we may get problems, such as,
constipation, heartburn, headaches, which will interfere with our day-today
activities.
